The Ten of Wands - tarot card meaning in detail

The Ten of Wands The Lord of Oppression

Numerical Value: 10
Astrological Associations: Leo, Sun, Uranus

Full Meaning

The Ten of Wands is a card that suggests that now you have climbed to the top of your ladder, you may be running out of steam both physically, mentally and spiritually. Energy at the beginning of your project, challenge and/or life journey is running out. Although you may have achieved your aims or ambition the success and the extra responsibility that comes with it may becoming burdensome. For example if you have just had a promotion or you are now the boss, although this in itself may be great; the added weight of responsibility brings its own set of problems. Now might be a good time to delegate and share your burdens until you have 're-charged your batteries' and are feeling more refreshed and confident to resume things as normal. Take care not to overdo things and try to share out the workload.

Traditional Symbolism

A man oppressed by the weight of the ten staves which he is carrying.
